Oklahoma State Football Facts 

The Oklahoma State Cowboys football program was established in 1901 and has been growing ever since. Originally known as the Oklahoma A&M Aggies, the Oklahoma State Cowboys started as a small program in the Southwest Conference. Through the years the school name, the Oklahoma State football roster and conference changed. On May 15, 1957 the university officially changed its name to Oklahoma State and in 1996 Oklahoma State University joined with the Big 8 and 4 other schools to become the Big 12 Conference. Now OSU is home to the Oklahoma State football roster.

Oklahoma State Staff 

Today the Oklahoma State Cowboys football team is still a part of the Big 12 Conference Southern Division. The Cowboys play under the leadership of Oklahoma State University head coach Mike Gundy, who joined the Oklahoma State Cowboys roster in 2001 as the offensive coordinator and was named Oklahoma State University Head Coach in 2005. Gundy is part of the recruitment process that creates the successful Oklahoma State football roster that we know and support.

Recently the Oklahoma State Cowboys have had a resurgence of football success, mostly due to a very talented Oklahoma State football roster.
