Ahmad Jones was born on September 24, 1988 and grew up in Silsbee, Texas.
At Silsbee High School, Ahmad Jones excelled defensively and offensively. He ranked as the U.S.'s 32 best defensive tackle prospect by Scout.com. Additionally, Rivals put Ahmad Jones as the 38th top defensive tackle prospect.
Ahmad Jones looked at several schools including LSU, Florida, Nebraska and TCU before setting with Oklahoma. Ahmad Jones redshirted with the Oklahoma Cowboys in 2007. He did not see action in 2008.
