Jonathan Rush was born Jan. 3, 1989 and grew up in Killeen, Texas. He played high school ball for the Killeen team and Scout.com figured he was the 96th best prospect in Texas. Meanwhile Rivals ranked him at number 69 as an offensive lineman.
He redshirted in 2007. In 2008, Jonathan Rush participated in a total of five games against Washington State, Missouri State, Troy, Baylor and Iowa State.
