Shane Jarka was born Jan. 8, 1988 and hails from Fort Bend, Texas. He graduated from Austin High School after closing out a strong football career. He recorded 97 unassisted tackles and 48 assisted stops, two quarterback sacks during his senior year and was the district defensive player of the year and two-time all-district pick.
In 2006 he redshirted. In 2007 he played in 6 games. He ended the season with 4 tackle and a quarterback sack. In 2008 he played in all 13 games and recorded 10 tackles.
